Today is the Day of Silence, a day of remembrance for and learning about LGBT hate crime victims.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people are silent - for an hour, for two hours, or for the whole day - in remembrance of victims and in support of LGBT people who have to fear for their safety all year.
